Presumably, these are either gold or asset-backed. I'm not sure he understands what 'treasury notes' are. They are debt instruments, usually with a one year term, that pay interest twice a year and are backed by the full faith and power of the US economy. There is nothing NEW about them. And there is nothing on the Treasury site to indicate NEW notes or gold-backed anything. No RV opportunity until Iraq seats a government. Don't get disappointed, just be patient. Entry Submitted by Member Action at 12:00 AM EST on March 6, 2020 Although winter has been rather mild for most of the USA this year, our homeless citizens are at high risk of illness and injury due to sleeping in dangerous cold areas. This year, the number of American and Canadians living outdoors has grown to nearly 1 million. The Homeless face not only starvation - but frostnip, frostbite, hypothermia and death from exposure to the elements. People are struggling to find safe and warm shelter near food sources, communications, medical care, public transport and jobs. If we encounter the homeless what can we do to help them survive? Now that we are closer to the RV and our ability to help folks, here are a few points that might make a difference for those living outdoors. Helping the homeless survive the winter and more. Apart from food and clothing donations, we could focus on helping the Homeless stay warm. One interesting option for the homeless is to live in specially designed, durable tents called Hot Tents which are heated by small, portable camp stoves fueled by locally sourced firewood. Hot Tents are manufactured worldwide and most are reasonably durable. They're designed for winter use and have a roof opening for a camp stove-sized aluminum chimney and a vent to allow fresh air into the tent. They're quite warm and require adding wood every few hours to keep the fire going. It is noted that with the right combination of tent and stove, some Hot Tents reach an ambient temperature of 75F or more even in minus 20 Fahrenheit outdoor temperatures. Special handsaws are available to aid in the collection of firewood if one doesn't have a chain saw or axe available. All equipment can be easily found on Google. Sheltering in Hot Tents: overnight and for the long term as needed. Hot Tents using a portable wood stove, enable people to benefit from a proven and inexpensive cold-weather shelter system that provides safety in most cold climates. The equipment is reasonably priced; a durable, basic Hot Tent that accommodates (e.g.) four adults or more, a mini wood stove and a wood saw for firewood collection can be purchased online or at retailers for about $500 USD. Some Hot Tents are expensive, high-performance models for use in the most extremely cold winter conditions. Also, people have the option of pooling their resources and four or more persons could easily work together to acquire the money to buy a larger tent and necessary equipment. When currency investors are prepared, we could help many homeless outfit themselves with the proper materials and equipment to set up a very nice campsite for short and/or long-term survival and thriving. The Homeless could form Hot Tent communities in areas where such camps might not be an intrusion to local codes and municipalities. The Tent Camps would allow a chance to have a warm place to sleep near jobs and city services. With teamwork, good planning and leadership, Hot Tent communities could help the Homeless stay alive and plan the next steps of their lives without the burden of paying rent. We could help them purchase acreage to design and maintain tent cities having the proper facilities, electric, security and other features. Such a plan could help because finding homes for all the homeless (all at once) will be a big challenge because there are limited homes available. Hot Tent Camping for winter outdoor survival is a proven method. The backstory behind the Hot Tent concept is that many sportsmen such as backpacker/hikers, ice fishermen, canoe/kayakers, hunters, campers, skiers and just regular folks who enjoy being in the outdoors, challenge their skills and enjoy nature in winter by sleeping overnight in warm and cozy tents as they go about their daily outdoor activities. I have enjoyed such accommodations in extremely cold winter weather with skiers in Wisconsin. Winter camping is quite an adventure and one can be quite comfortable if the right equipment and techniques are utilized. Have one with you always. - Multiple changes of clothing, especially gloves/stockings are cool!
