Here's a little look at life lately...
I took Ashby and Bowen to the park the other day...
...just so much love between these two.
Speaking of love...Andrew came home! Woohoo! Andrew went to South Africa for 10 days and came home last week. His flight landed in time for lunch, so the three of us celebrated his homecoming with lunch on the patio. So happy to have him home!
Later that night, I was taking the trash out and as I walked back to the house, I saw this...
...that's a lot of personality wrapped up in one little girl!
Erika dropped Bowen off early on Friday morning so that she and I could go to the first grade Mother's Day breakfast. Smith and Bowen watched Paw Patrol until it was time for Andrew to take them to school to meet up with us.
My girl and me headed to the Mother's Day breakfast. This girl has my heart! Kensington Kate made me a mama...and I'm so blessed by her.
When we showed up in her class, not only did they have breakfast and a reader's theater prepared for us, but they had the most wonderful Mother's Day presents, artwork and such waiting for us as well. This stuff melted my heart.
Just love her so much.
...after I left school that morning, I came home and read with this one. It's a Disney Princess world over here...and Ashby is in charge of it! We read princess books all.day.long.
We have family nights on Fridays! After dinner, the kiddos all pile into our room with their sleeping bags for a movie before bed. It's one of our favorite traditions! They love sleeping in our room after their movie :).
The American Girl dolls join us too :).
Then on Saturday, we hosted Sean & Catherine's baby shower for family and friends. It was such a good time and the weather was amazing! I didn't take many pics because I was doing the hosting thing, but here are a few...
One view of guests eating their supper. We had a neighboring restaurant bring over their pizza oven and everyone created their own pizzas...
...this is the third time we've done this for a party and it's always so much fun! Sean and Catherine's very favorite thing to eat is pizza...so it just made sense for this party too :).
My stunning Grandmother and me. I mean, she's gorgeous, right? (And pssst: you can find my dress here.)
One of our dearest friends came in from California to celebrate.
Mom and me.
Love this guy so much.
Ashby hanging out with the special couple!
Catherine and Mark
The end of the night! Party success at the Shull house!
The next day was Mother's Day...and I ate up the time with my babies!
They're wild, they're crazy, they're messy, they're fun, they're sweet, they're silly, they're special, they're MINE! I couldn't love these three more!
I sat next to one of my favorite mamas at church that morning. Love my friend Manda so much!
...is it summer yet?
It's hard to smile when you're shoving chips in your mouth.
But it's easy to smile when you're in the pool after school!
After school, the big kids asked if we could swim before Kensington had to leave for dance. Sure! Why not?!
That's our life lately!
On my foodie blog today, I have the simplest little lunch for your weekday...
...my Caprese Grilled Cheese.
Hello simple?!
