Happy Friday friends!
I saw this on Pinterest this week and laughed out loud...
Just too funny!
Okay, listen, I don't mean to sound overly dramatic here...but I found the best dry shampoo ever.
Like in the whole world.
Like, I'm about to make your entire day.
See #1...
So, you ladies know that I have no shame when it comes to sharing great products with you. See Exhibit A:
No. Pride. It's a brilliant face mask and you all needed to see that it was silver :). (Also, I don't think I pointed out my cute little studs when I showed this mask the first time, but I love them!)
Okay, so I was reading one of my magazines the other day (I'm pretty sure it was Marie Claire) and they named this dry shampoo the best because they said it was the only one that actually cleaned your hair and didn't just mask the grossness. What? It cleans? Yes. It cleans. So, I ordered me a bottle and friends, I LOVE IT! Here's Exhibit B (a.k.a. up close and personal with my roots)...
Read the can. Living Proof actually cleans your hair. So, I decided to show you guys how it works...
I mean...this pic is a mess but I was trying to get dressed and show you guys my roots, so it is what it is. This is my hair after I woke up...but I'm in need of a little dry shampoo, so...you spray it on your hair and it turns the area white...
...see, the Living Proof on your roots appears white. You let it sit for 30 seconds while it's doing its cleaning thing and then you shake it out with your fingers and that's it! Done! And clean! I've tried a million dry shampoos but honestly, this one is my fave :).
Did you notice my nails in the above picture? My friend Ashley put this shade on Instagram last week and I loved it! I ordered mine off of Amazon. It's mostly white with just a hint of pink (where my favorite OPI's Mod About You is the opposite...mostly pink with a hint of white)...
...this is OPI's Let's Be Friends from their Hello Kitty collection. Love.
Yesterday, I shared some pics from Sean and Catherine's baby shower which included this dress (and that nail color!)...
I also took a pic before the party so you could see the front and back...
Fun, right? For a size reference, I ordered XS.
But let's be real...what I normally wear is this stuff...
All hail the basic tee!
Yes. This is more like me :). Okay, my favorite tee two years running is Nordstrom's Caslon brand. They're soft, they're just slightly flowy (so not tight!), they're priced right and they wash and dry well (because I can't baby my laundry!). This one tee comes in over 20 colors! Love, love, love them for basics!
Speaking of Caslon, I have been wearing this Caslon top non-stop lately...
...I really love it :). It comes in coral too.
Here I am wearing it again to Kensington's Mother's Day breakfast. I wear my favorite cami underneath. And my lipstick is that one I told you guys about a few weeks ago! The Lancome one in Fall in Rose.
And one more every day top...because a busy girl just can't have too many of those...
Annnnnnd...I took the pics before realizing I was still wearing my house shoes. I wear them until the last minute and then put on my real shoes. Sigh. The top is richer (more reddish-pink) in person than online. I bought it in red barbarry but it comes in other colors too.
So even though dresses are fun on occasion, this stuff is what I wear day in and day out...
And speaking of day in and day out...
...are you keeping up with Every Day in May? You can see it here every single day.
Here's what we've done so far...
May 1: No caffeine for the day
May 2: Write down 3 things you're grateful for that day
May 3: Read instead of watching TV after dinner
May 4: Schedule your annual skin check/OB appointment/dental cleaning (whatever you've been putting off!)
May 5: Drink 6 to 8 (8 oz) glasses of water today
May 6: Pay it forward! (Hold open a door, buy someone a drink at Starbucks...whatever you can do to pay it forward)
May 7: Be intentional with the people you're with today
May 8: Tell a mom that you know that she's doing a great job
May 9: Go to bed earlier than normal
May 10: Wake up earlier than normal
May 11: No social media after 6:00 PM
May 12: Walk the extra mile everywhere you go...so park further away, take the stairs instead of the elevator...just try to go a little further everywhere you go.
May 13: Write 3 cards to people you know. Whether it's a thank you card, a get well card, an I'm thinking of you card or a just because card...write three cards and mail them today.
And finally...for dinner tonight...
Oh friends, they're delicious, they're flavorful and (gasp!) they're vegetarian!
Check out the yummy recipe here.
Have the best weekend friends! Love each and every one of you!
